DealBolt Rep App Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026. This policy covers the DealBolt Rep mobile app for iPhone and Android, published by DealBolt, a T9 Business Solutions company (“DealBolt,” “we,” “us”). Our website and waitlist are covered by the website Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Everything you enter is stored on your phone. The app has no accounts and no sign-in.
- Backup is optional and end-to-end encrypted. If you turn it on, your phone locks a copy of your data with your recovery code before it leaves. We store only the locked copy and cannot read it. We never receive your recovery code.
- Photo import and Say it send only the photo or note you choose to be read. The results come back to your phone, and we do not store the photo or note.
- Anonymous usage counts: the app tells us which features get used (for example, “a deal was started”) with a random ID that is not linked to you, your phone number or your customers. You can turn this off anytime in Privacy & data.
- No ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and we never sell data.
- You can delete everything at any time with Delete all my data, which also deletes your backup.
Information you enter
The app lets you record customer names (we recommend first name and last initial), phone numbers and email addresses you choose to add, the vehicle they’re interested in, who referred them, past purchase details (date, vehicle, amount financed, rate, term and value), follow-up dates, whether a customer gave text consent, notes, your answers during a guided deal, deal gross figures, paperwork (stip) status, payment estimates, and your pay plan and settings. This information is saved in the app’s storage on your device. It is sent to us only as a locked backup if you turn backup on (see below). The app is designed so you never need to enter Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, credit applications, credit reports, bank or card numbers, and you should not enter them.
Encrypted backup
- Off until you turn it on. When you turn on backup, the app creates a random recovery code on your phone and shows it to you to save.
- Locked on your phone. Before anything leaves your phone, the app encrypts it (AES-256) with a key made from your recovery code. Our server receives only the encrypted copy and a one-way fingerprint of the code used to find it. We never receive the code or the key, so neither DealBolt nor our hosting provider can read your backup.
- What we keep: the five most recent encrypted copies and the time each was saved, until you turn backup off or delete your data.
- Restoring: on a new phone, enter your recovery code to download and unlock your backup. If you lose your recovery code, your backup cannot be opened by you or by us.
Photo import and Say it
Both are optional. When you choose a photo of your commission sheet or deal log and tap Read deals, or type or speak a note about a customer and tap Fill it in:
- The app sends that one photo or note over an encrypted connection to the DealBolt server.
- Our server sends it to our AI service provider, Anthropic, which returns only the fields the app needs (for a photo: customer name, vehicle, gross and status; for a note: name, contact details you said, vehicle wanted, payment, down, trade and follow-up day). It is instructed to leave out Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, account numbers, dates of birth and credit scores.
- The results come back to your phone for you to review before anything is saved.
DealBolt does not store the photo, the note or the results on its server. Anthropic processes them under commercial terms that do not allow it to train its models on the content; it may keep a request for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) for security and abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. Speech you dictate is turned into text by your phone’s keyboard or operating system under its own privacy terms.
Anonymous usage counts
To learn which features help salespeople most, the app sends us short feature events, such as “app opened,” “deal started,” “step completed,” “Say it used” or “backup turned on,” along with the app’s language, whether it is running on iPhone, Android or the web, and the app version. Each phone is identified only by a random ID created by the app; it is not linked to your name, phone number, email, dealership, device identifiers or advertising ID, and it is replaced when you use Delete all my data. Usage counts never include customer names, contact details, notes, vehicle details or any dollar figures. We use them only in aggregate to improve DealBolt, keep them for up to 13 months, and never sell or share them for advertising. You can turn them off anytime with the “Share anonymous usage counts” switch in Privacy & data.
Sending a lead to your store’s CRM
When you tap Send to store CRM, the app prepares an email and opens your own email app. The email goes from you to the address your store gave you. It does not pass through DealBolt, and we do not receive a copy.
Camera, photos, microphone and notifications
The app asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to import a photo, and reads only the photo you pick. Microphone or speech access is used only while you tap to talk in Say it. With your permission, the app schedules reminders on your phone from your own data; nothing is sent to us to deliver them.
How long information is kept
Information you enter stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Encrypted backups are kept as described above until you turn backup off or delete your data. Anonymous usage counts are kept for up to 13 months. Photos and notes sent to be read are not kept by DealBolt. Our server keeps basic technical logs (such as time of request and error codes, never your content) for up to 30 days to keep the service secure and working.
Deleting your data
- In the app: open the Pay plan tab and tap Delete all my data, then confirm. This erases your data from the device, deletes your encrypted backup from our server, and replaces your anonymous usage ID.
- Backup only: tap Turn off and delete backup in the Backup section.
- Uninstall: deleting the app removes its data from your device. It does not delete an encrypted backup; turn backup off first, or restore on a new phone and delete it there.
- Questions or requests: email info@deal-bolt.app with the subject “Privacy request.” Because we cannot identify you or read your backup, the fastest way to delete a backup is from the app. We respond within 45 days.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your information for advertising. The only third parties involved are our AI service provider (for photo import and Say it) and our hosting provider, Supabase, which runs our server and stores encrypted backups and anonymous usage counts. We may disclose information if required by law.
Security
All connections use encrypted HTTPS. Backups are end-to-end encrypted on your phone. Secret service keys are kept on our server and are never included in the app. Protect your phone with a passcode, and keep your recovery code private.
Who the app is for
